Fat reduction treatments
At the Light Touch Clinic, we are proud to offer 2 of the best non-surgical fat reduction treatments in the world: CoolSculpting and Vanquish.
CoolScuplting
CoolSculpting can be used to remove stubborn fat from all over the body including tummy, thighs, double chins, man boob, arms and bra fat. This treatment uses controlled cooling to eliminate unwanted fat cells – no surgery needed.
CoolSculpting is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment in the world and at Light Touch Clinic, it is one of, if not the most popular treatment we carry out!
The CoolSculpting procedure is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise. The results are proven, noticeable, and lasting. In the weeks and months to follow, your body naturally processes and eliminates the treated fat cells. Once the fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.
CoolSculpting is not intended as a weight-reduction program for overweight individuals. The best candidates for CoolSculpting are people at or near their ideal body weight who eat well and exercise regularly and have stubborn pockets of fat that do not respond to a healthy lifestyle. The treatment is excellent for those seeking fat reduction but who want to avoid a surgical procedure. Every patient is unique, which is why we recommend a comprehensive and customized procedure plan as part of the initial consultation.

Causes of Cellulite and Treatments
Cellulite is a build up of fat that pushes against the outer layers of skin tissue. This causes the skin to appear dimpled and lumpy. Many of our patients have referred to cellulite as the ‘orange peel effect’ and ‘cottage cheese skin’.
There are three main grades for cellulite:
- Mild: minimal visual appearance on the skin with only the occasional dent to the outer tissue.
- Moderate: elasticity of the skin is affected with more obvious dimples and dents appearing.
- Severe: very visible dents and dimples in the skin with visible skin sagging.

Cellulite can affect both sexes, but is more common in women. For women over 30, studies suggest there is a 90% chance they have been affected by cellulite at some point in their lives. However, the exact cause of cellulite is unknown, but there are several factors that influence its development, including:
- Loss of skin elasticity due to ageing
- A lack of exercise and a sedentary (excessive sitting) lifestyle
- A poor diet high in fat, salt and carbohydrates, as well as or yo-yo dieting
- Hormones, such as your oestrogen and insulin levels
- Smoking
- Genetics including metabolism, blood circulation and even stress levels
While cellulite is harmless, many people find it unpleasant and embarrassing. Here at the Light Touch Clinic, we offer the groundbreaking BTL Unison treatment that can help to reduce cellulite and tighten sagging skin.
As part of the ageing process, we find that skin around the body has become saggy. This is because our bodies produce less elastin and collagen with age. However, we have a solution in BTL Unison. Using acoustic wave technology and a radiofrequency, this treatment helps tighten skin by kick-starting your natural collagen and elastin production.

COOLSCULPTING

How does it work?
CoolSculpting cools fat cells to a temperature that destroys them. Over the next few weeks the fat cells shrink and die and the body metabolises and naturally excretes them.
