A daily hand cream is essential for hydrating and nourishing your skin. Your hands perform an amazing amount of work each day and the skin is regularly exposed to water, chemicals, drying, friction and harmful UV rays from the sun.

Vitamin E is one of the most researched antioxidant that works to neutralise free radicals in the skin. Free radicals come from exposure to pollution, toxins, chemicals, UV rays and much more. They are unstable molecules that eventually cause premature ageing via the oxidation process.
Shea butter Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree in West Africa. It is rich in natural vitamins, has a wonderful rich texture and is fantastic for hydrating dry skin. It also is a rich source of antioxidants (gallocatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate) and skin enhancing fatty acids oleic, stearic and linoleic acid. It offers some natural UV protection too at about SPF 6. Shea butter has been used in Africa and many other countries for years to improve the quality of the skin, nails and hair.
Shea butter is a natural source of vitamin A which is known to help the skin improve cell turnover, smoothness and fine lines & wrinkles. A 2010 study showed that the cinnamic acid and other natural properties of Shea butter work to reduce skin inflammation.
Mango butter shares a lot of the same uses as Shea and Cocoa butter. It is rich in oleic acid (a mono-unsaturated omega-9 acid) and stearic acid (a saturated fatty acid) and has great natural antioxidant ability.
