Cheek Fillers

As our skin ages, wrinkles and deep lines begin to form and facial volume is lost, most commonly in the cheek area. This leaves skin looking saggy and we lose our youthful contours.

However, the skilled practitioners can use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to help re-frame the mid-face this includes restoring lost cheek volume, softening smile lines and filling tear troughs to remove dark under eye circles. We pride ourselves on our natural results and take a less-is-more approach to dermal filler, we want to enhance and recapture your natural beauty – never mask it!

For total facial contouring, we recommend an 8 point lift which combines filler and Botox injections for a fresh faced, natural look.

How Does it Work?

At the Light Touch clinic we believe in replacing lost volume, not adding volume that wasn’t there in the first place. You will the leave the clinic looking refreshed and rejuvenated, not artificially puffed-up like some celebrities!

We use Restylane® and Juvederm® – two of the leading dermal fillers on the market.

All dermal fillers used are FDA-approved and temporary – this means your body should break them down over 6-12 months, so in the unlikely event you are not satisfied with the results they are not permanent. These dermal fillers are well tolerated by most people because they are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance in our body responsible for lubricating the skin and joints.

Cheek Fillers are effective for treating:

  • Cheeks
  • Skin around the cheekbones
  • Jawlines
  • Laugher lines
  • Marionette lines
  • Chin area

How Does it Work?

CoolSculpting was developed by Harvard scientists who discovered that when fat cells are exposed to cold they become terminally injured and gradually die. After further research the scientists were able to pinpoint a precise temperature that destroyed fat without damaging nerves, skin and other surrounding tissue and the concept of cryolipolysis was born.

The CoolSculpting machine comes with different sized heads that re-contour the most common fat-prone areas including the stomach and thighs. The fat is drawn into the head creating a vacuum and then cooled to a temperature that destroys the fat cells. It takes around 3 weeks for the fat cells to shrink and die during which time they are metabolised and excreted by the body as waste.

Safety

CoolSculpting is a specialist treatment approved by the FDA and extensive training is required before clinics can carry out any procedures.

Here at the Light Touch Clinic our experts have undergone thorough training directly with Zeltiq (the manufacturers of CoolSculpting) to ensure we know the latest techniques to safely and effectively target fat cells and sculpt your body.

To ensure maximum safety, the CoolSculpting machine is also equipped with Freeze Detect – a technology which constantly monitors your skin’s temperature to prevent against freeze burn.

Proven results combined a fantastic safety record has made CoolSculpting the world’s most popular non-invasive fat reduction treatment.

FAQ's

Which products do you use?

We use both Restylane® and Juvederm® for all our cheek filler treatments, which are the two leading dermal fillers available on the market. They both are made up of a naturally occurring substance found in the body called hyaluronic acid, which makes them compatible. All of our injectable treatments are carried out by an experienced medical practitioner.

Where are you based?

We are located on Weybridge highstreet our postcode is KT13 8DS. Being located within the M25, our clinic is under an hour away from London Waterloo Station. Simply catch a regularly departing South West Train to Weybridge and our clinic is a leisurely walk from the station or a quick taxi ride. We are also only a 20 minute train ride away from Woking, Walton-on-Thames, Chertsey and Virginia Water.

What does the treatment involve?

Small quantities of dermal filler are injected into the cheek areas where you have wrinkles, furrows or loss of volume. Our practitioners often use a micro-cannula to administer the filler. By using a cannula our patients benefit from less pain, less bruising, less swelling, less risk of complications and a smooth, natural-looking result.

What will my skin look like afterwards?

The effects of a cheek filler treatment are immediate but you may experience a small amount of swelling and/or bruising which may take a few days to subside.

Are cheek fillers safe?

As long as they are administered by a trained medical practitioner who is experienced in the anatomy of the face, cheek fillers should be safe. The hyaluronic acid gel is completely natural and over time is broken down and assimilated back into the body causing no harm to you.

What are the risks and complications?

All non-invasive procedures carry a small amount of risk which is why they are only administered after a face to face consultation with one of our practitioners during which a full assessment will be carried out and a full list of cautions and contraindications discussed.

Are dermal filler injections my only option?

Before you undergo any injectable treatment you will be invited for a consultation with one of our practitioners who will analyse your skin and help you decide which treatment option is most suitable.

Who Will I See?

At the Light Touch Clinic, our injectable treatments are only performed by medical practitioners. We have two practitioners who carry out all dermal filler treatments: Dr Natalie Blakely and Janine Scott. Before your treatment you will be invited to a consultation with one of our practitioners who will determine the best way to achieve your desired result.
