Among the numerous benefits of our brand new EXCELIGHT IPL treatment, we’re sure you’ll be glad to know that it works wonders on unsightly vascular lesions. Although harmless in most cases, skin discolouration caused by broken red veins, thread veins, port wine stains and rosacea can be rather difficult to live with due to their outward appearance, at times causing much distress. Thankfully, your vascular concerns are no match for the Light Touch Clinic team and our exciting new treatment.
How does EXCELIGHT work?
The colour of these vascular lesions is what causes an issue for us in the first place, and yet this less than flattering colouring is the key to IPL treatment. EXCELIGHT works via the application of targeted light energy that is absorbed by the darker colour of the vessels, which then eliminates them altogether.* This allows your body to then quickly reabsorb them for a clearer, blemish-free complexion.
With that said, patience is key as it can take up to five treatments with monthly intervals to fully treat your concern, depending on the severity.* For example, rosacea usually requires a full course of five treatments, whereas smaller red veins can be removed in as little as one or two treatments. It is worth noting that this type of treatment is only suitable for the face, neck and hands.
