Light Touch Clinic is committed to highest quality of customer care for botox treatment in Surrey.
Botox® is available in Surrey at the wonderful Light Touch Clinic – run by the UK’s ‘best doctor for Botox and Fillers’.
That award has been won by Doctor Natalie Geary, a true specialist in using anti-wrinkle injections to help people look, and then feel their best.
The clinic has also been recently refurbished to the very highest of standards, creating a wonderfully relaxing environment.
On this page, we will provide all the key information about Botox® anti-wrinkle injections, and also the Light Touch Clinic so that you can make an informed decision as you look to tackle signs of ageing and the onset of lines and wrinkles.
Botox® is a trademarked, shortened version of botulinum toxin, a toxin that works as a muscle suppressant.
The toxin works by stopping nerve signals from reaching targetted muscles, or by reducing the strength of these signals. This addresses lines and wrinkles that are caused by muscle contraction.
In our face, these are lines and wrinkles that appear as we change expression, or move parts of our face. An obvious example for anti-wrinkle injections are lines on the forehead.
These lines become ever more visible as we age, Botox® treatment is able to greatly reduce their appearance.
Although Botox® is typically used to address signs of ageing in the face, it is not the same as dermal fillers.
Many patients choose to have both dermal fillers and botulinum toxin, but how are they different?
Fillers, as the name implies, fill in lines, wrinkles and also blemishes such as acne scars. They work through hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. This acid stimulates renewed collagen creation and this, in turn, smoothes the skin.
Dermal fillers will work on lines and wrinkles that are permanently visible, whereas Botox® is for those which are created dynamically, for instance, frown lines.
However, a patient does not need to be an expert in the nuanced differences between the two. Any patient simply has to have a desire to address signs of ageing or to make subtle changes to their appearance. It is then the job of the skincare expert to assess the best form of treatment.
Botox® has a range of uses as people look for treatments that can improve their appearance, yet in a non-surgical, non-invasive way.
Uses for anti-wrinkle injections include, but are not limited to:
Botox® can also be successfully used to help combat excessive sweating and also in the treatment of migraines.
In a broader sense, botulinum toxin is suitable for a huge range of signs of ageing in the facial and neck region and, when it is not suitable, another non-surgical treatment typically will be.
A thorough consultation with Doctor Geary can assess whether Botox® treatment or another option or a bespoke package of treatments can create the profound change you seek.
World Class Botox® Treatment
The field of non-surgical treatments and anti-wrinkle injections is sadly underregulated.
While Botox® is considered a safe treatment, that is not to say that all results are equal. The impact of the treatment depends on the skill and experience of the practitioner.
The results for clients can be underwhelming when too little of the toxin is applied, perhaps worse still is when excessive Botox® is used and the muscle suppressant effect is too great. This can lead to a frozen face look and that clear look of ‘work having been done’.
“I had a fab experience last week, as always. It was lovely to see Natalie and she always offers great advice and service. Two weeks later and as the Wrinkle Relaxing Injections kicked in, I feel amazing. A huge confidence boost!”
At Light Touch Clinic, we have invested in the latest technical innovations and combined these with a highly skilled team, led by Doctor Natalie Geary, who has been named as the best Doctor for Botox® and Fillers in the UK by no less an authority than Tatler. From the moment of the first consultation, you are in the safest and most experienced of hands.
Such is Doctor Geary’s expertise, she is regularly used by leading media outlets to provide thought and opinion on all areas of non-surgical treatments, including Daily Mail, Women’s Health and Elle Magazine.
Our belief is in natural enhancement rather than a major change. The aim of any procedure such as Botox® should be to enhance your natural beauty, creating a great version of you, but still you.
When people see you, they will think you look great, not that you have had any sort of treatment.
Our level of skill and care is demonstrated by reviews, universally positive across numerous independent, verified review sites.
The Botox® Process
As with all treatments including anti-wrinkle treatments, the interaction with Light Touch Clinic would begin with a detailed consultation for clients.
It is important to include this stage, it ensures the treatment from doctors can produce the results you desire. Consultations by medically trained doctors help to put the patient at ease; they know they are in the best possible hands and receiving professional care.
If Botox® is the correct procedure for anti-wrinkle injections, then the process itself is quick and virtually pain-free. At Light Touch Clinic, it is also a treatment administered in the highest standards of finish you will find in a clinic in Surrey or beyond.
The treatment involves administering the right amount of toxin through a series of tiny injections into the muscles in the area to be treated.
Prior to the injections, the local area can be numbed to minimise any pain further still.
Once the toxin is fully working, it will cause a softening of the muscle movements and with this, the lines and wrinkles fade.
A younger look is created, but this without losing the ability to make facial expressions. There is not the feared frozen face. Skin appears firmer and more luminous.
Cosmetic treatments typically take between 30 and 60 minutes to administer – this is your total time in the clinic.
Results From Botox® Treatment
Botox® will not produce results whereby someone says – ooh, you look different – and that is a good thing. Frown lines are faded, the face doesn’t look frozen. Your skin has a wonderfully healthy sheen.
Botox® creates subtle change, it melts the signs of ageing. You will look yourself, but the very best version of yourself.
However, the results can be far more than the aesthetic or skin deep. We all want to look our best and visible signs of ageing can be distressing. Our mental health can be affected, aspects such as our confidence and self-esteem and this can impinge on work, relationships and all areas of life. Addressing this is one of the huge benefits of cosmetic treatments.
The results from anti-wrinkle injections typically last for around four months, after which a repeat procedure would be usual. It is worth noting that results will not be visible immediately, they often take around two weeks to be fully visible.
Length of treatment: Around 30 to 60 minutes
Suitability for Botox® treatment: Assessed at consultation. Most will be suitable, but some would not be suitable, for instance, those who are breastfeeding or pregnant.
Recovery time: As with other non-surgical treatments for aesthetics, there is no recovery period
Side effects: Potential mild, temporary pain (though a localised numbing cream can be used). there can be small red marks that temporarily appear on the surface of the skin. There can be bruising, but this can be covered by make-up
Duration of Results: Results for clients will usually last from between three and four months
Cost: This would be discussed at the consultation as it depends on the amount of botulinum toxin administered. You would be given an obligation-free quote to consider at your leisure
Those looking for more youthful skin and complexion are rightly concerned about the safety aspect of any aesthetics.
Botox® is considered safe and has had FDA approval since 2002 for the treatment of signs of ageing.
As part of our professional service, we would inform you of all potential side effects, however uncommon these may be. Patients must be armed with all knowledge to make an informed decision as they look to improve their skin and complexion.
In between 1 to 3% of cases, patients may experience a droopy eyelid – though this can be easily treated, and would fade in time naturally.
To reduce the risk, all fillers and injections should be administered to clients by doctors and health care professionals. A thorough consultation should be held to assess suitability.
While Botox® can be used in isolation, it is also commonly used as a package of treatments.
When combined with skill, this can create what is known as a non-surgical facelift.
Other treatments to produce natural results include.
Cheek fillers. This is a use of dermal fillers for the specific aim of adding volume to sunken cheeks, making the skin firmer and more youthful-looking.
Hydrafacial. This is a medical-grade resurfacing treatment that can address dull skin, dry skin, oily skin, wrinkles, acne-prone skin and uneven tone to the skin.
The treatment is an amazing pick-me-up for your complexion, leaving skin fresher, more vibrant, healthier-looking and feeling.
Ultracel skin tightening. Sagging skin and a dull complexion are all too common as we age. The use of ULTRAcel is to restore lost volume and definition to skin around the face, neck and jawline.
