Eggs are a fantastic source of protein and delicious for breakfast. However, if you don’t have time in the morning, why not have egg with your dinner? You will still feel the benefits of the energy when you wake up in the morning.
Put down that coffee and get a glass of water! Drinking 8 glasses of water a day not only does wonders for your skin but it is fantastic for your energy levels. Water helps carry nutrients and oxygen to the cells. If you struggle to drink water throughout the day, place a large water bottle in eyesight, you will soon find yourself drinking more. Or if you find water alone a bit boring, why not infuse it with some lemon slices?
Not only does sweet potato taste amazing, it is a fantastic source of energy as it is packed with iron, potassium, vitamin C and vitamin D. Switch to sweet potato mash and you will soon notice the difference!
Rich in protein, B6, niacin and riboflavin, oily fish is an excellent energy booster. Try incorporating salmon in your lunch for a midday energy boost.
Mushrooms are full of nutrients which help transport oxygen around the blood stream, making them an underrated source of energy. Did you know that one cup of mushrooms has all the iron you need for one day in it?
