Kirsty’s Bridal Beauty Plan: Warming up with Tixel
While treatments such as wrinkle-relaxing treatments and dermal fillers are great for improving the signs of ageing, it is really important that skin quality is addressed too. This means creating healthy, clear skin with a natural glow.
During my consultation, Janine recommended that I have a course of Tixel treatments with Melissa to help even and rejuvenate my skin. With not long to go until Christmas, it’s been a busy week at the clinic, but luckily there was time to squeeze in a Tixel treatment with Melissa yesterday afternoon.
Like our popular INTRAcel treatment, Tixel is a fab skin resurfacing treatment. However, unlike INTRAcel this treatment involves no needles. Instead, Tixel uses heat energy to create micro injuries to the skin, causing your body to produce stronger, healthier skin from within. The machine itself has a little hand piece with a tip made up of metal pyramids which heat up to 400 degrees centigrade and tap the skin for a millisecond.
The treatment itself was pretty comfortable – I didn’t need any anaesthetic before treatment (although we do offer this for patients upon request). As anticipated, it felt a bit warm in some places but Melissa was very gentle and made sure I was comfortable,
Post treatment, I was a little bit red and warm but I was perfectly well to carry on working. The next morning, my skin is pretty much back to normal. Thank you Melissa! I can’t wait to share the results with you.
A little action shot from my treatment…
