Kirsty's Bridal Beauty Plan

With not long to go until the big day, it’s time for my (overdue!) Botox top up.

Whilst I don’t have any Crow’s Feet, I do have frown lines (sometimes called 11’s) and forehead lines when I raise my eyebrows which bother me. Botox is a wrinkle-relaxing treatment which can relax the muscles that cause these lines. Unfortunately, Botox does not have immediate effect so it’s really important to keep this in mind if you having treatments ahead of a special event. It takes about 2 weeks to see the full results of the treatment and after 2 weeks you will need to come in for a review so your practitioner can tweak your treatment if needed. To achieve natural results, our practitioners like to take a conservative approach to Botox and top up if needed once the full result has been seen.

Dr Sonia who will be officially joining the team soon kindly offered to do my Botox for me. She asked me to frown and raise my eyebrows so she could work out where the injections needed to go and then the injecting began. The injections weren’t too uncomfortable and I was fine to carry on with work.

2 Weeks Later….

2 weeks later I could definitely see a difference! Whilst I can still move my eyebrows the lines were gone. Janine Scott saw me for my review and topped up the Botox slightly to ensure that I am looking fresh-faced for the big day

Things to think about…

If you are having wrinkle-relaxing injections for a special event or a wedding, we definitely recommend that you book your consultation and first treatment 4 weeks before the big day as this will allow enough time for a review at the 2 week mark to make sure everything is perfect. In addition, the 2 weeks between your review and the event should be enough time for any bruising to subside.
