Soften & Contour: The Lower Face
As we age, unfortunately the effects of gravity and decreased collagen can cause our lower face to sag and create lines we don’t always want. However, using wrinkle relaxing treatments and fillers, our talented medical practitioners can help refresh the lower face.
Filler can be an excellent choice for those who want to rejuvenate the area around the lips. Smoker’s Lines are a common concern, even those who don’t smoke may find that they have vertical lines just above the upper lift. Using small amounts of filler as we can help smooth out those lines for a more youthful smile.
Ever wondered what those pesky lines that run downwards from the corners of your mouth are called? Marionette lines. These lines are a common bugbear but again, they can be softened with dermal filler. By carefully plumping these lines with hyaluronic our medical practitioners can make them less prominent.
If you are unhappy with the shape of your chin, surgery isn’t the only solution. Our practitioners can actually do a lot to improve the appearance of your chin sans surgery thanks to dermal fillers. Made from hyaluronic acid (a substance naturally found in the body), they can help augment the shape of your chin. Most commonly we get patients wanting to enhance a weak chin or a recessive chin.
It’s a 30 minute or less procedure which can have fantastic, confidence-boosting results.
While we’re all pretty familiar with using wrinkle-relaxing injections like Botox for smoothing wrinkled-foreheads and softening crow’s feet, did you know we can also use it for treating Bruxism (teeth grinding)? By injecting a miniscule amount of Botox into the muscle that controls the jaw, it becomes weaker which helps prevent involuntary clenching and grinding. Don’t worry, voluntary movements are not affected!
As you might have read in Tatler, we can use Botox to help rejuvenate the neck – this treatment involves injecting tiny injections of Botox into the platysma to relax those muscles that cause a ‘stringy’ appearance of the neck.
We’re big fans of Profhilo at the clinic. Not strictly a filler, Profhilo uses hyaluronic acid to help refresh the neck. Using this treatment, your practitioner can help tackle that crepey skin texture we see with age and improve the appearance of lines. Historically, the neck has been near impossible to treat with injectables other than Botox so Profhilo is a welcome breakthrough!
Lip filler is a great treatment for those who want to gently plump lips or to sharpen and accentuate their cupid’s bow. As hinted in our name, at the Light Touch Clinic we like to take a less-is-more approach to lip filler for a natural result. Usually we will slightly under treat and then top up (if needed) at your complimentary review appointment.
