With summer drawing to a close soon, it’s time to think about scheduling some post-summer maintenance treatments. Whilst there is nothing better than relaxing on the beach in the sun, too much sun can wreak havoc on your skin. Fortunately, the Light Touch clinic has an arsenal of treatments to undo some of that damage.
If your skin is looking a little more lined or dull after summer? Get you glow back with our favourite peel. The aptly names Blue Peel RADIANCE is all about giving you a healthy glow and clearer skin. Not to be confused with the stronger Blue Peel by Obagi which requires taking some time out of the office, Blue Peel RADIANCE is a superficial peel with minimal downtime.*
Salicylic acid is the superstar ingredient in the peel. This BHA acid is oil soluble (this is why we love this peel for oily skin types and acne-prone skin!) and helps exfoliate the top layer of the skin to reveal new, healthy skin.
Post-treatment you may have a little redness initially but don’t worry this subsides quickly.
Want to superboost your results? Book a complimentary skincare consultation with our Obagi ambassador and medical aesthetician Rebecca. She can help put together a thorough routine to help keep your skin flawless and healthy.
As you probably know by now, Tixel is the latest treatment to join the clinic and we’re really excited by the results. When used hand in hand with medigrade skincare Tixel can makes light work of sun spots and pigmentation. By briefly (we’re talking milliseconds!) touching your skin with the 400 C tip of the machine, our practitioners create channels in the skin. This allows topical pigmentation medication to deeply penetrate the skin to brighten those sun spots.
If your skin is feeling a little ‘meh’ after summer: rough texture, lacking glow, fine lines, sun spots… INTRAcel may be the treatment for you. Using micro-needling and radio frequency energy, INTRAcel makes your skin self-rejuvenate by boosting your collagen and elastin production. This leads to smoother skin with a more even texture. Not just for the face! We can use this award-winning treatment on the neck and décolletage too.
Vitamin C – Your SPF Sidekick
We’re all pretty good when it comes to wearing SPF. With clear anti-ageing benefits and many elegant formulas which blend in effortless, applying SPF has become an essential part our morning routines. However, we definitely need to start thinking more about antioxidants. Working in tandem with SPF, antioxidants protect the skin from free radical damage which can accelerate the ageing process.
One of the best antioxidants around in Vitamin C and at the Light Touch Clinic we’re big fans of the Obagi Professional-C Serum. Available in a range of strengths, we can find a concentration to complement your skin type. Vitamin C also has a remedial action as it can improve signs of sun damage such as pigmentation and fine lines.
