Anti Ageing Injections

Botox (Botulinum Toxin) injections often come with a misconception that they will leave you with that dreaded frozen look, and appearing to have quite obviously had work done.  At Light Touch Clinic, our medical practitioners are so highly regarded in the world of injectables, and so skilled at what they do, that this simply isn’t the case with our patient results.

We only use the official Botox product from Allergan.  The idea is that Botox can be used to treat and prevent lines and wrinkles (subject to consultation assessment) by relaxing the muscles in the face to smooth out lines and wrinkles.  How the product is injected, and the correct quantity being injected in exactly the right areas are vital factors in ensuring the best results, which is why we only have the very best practitioners for injectables at our clinic.

1. What areas can be treated?

Botox can be used to smooth frown lines, forehead raise lines, and crows feet.  It can also be used to treat hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)

2.  What’s the Downtime?

This is entirely dependent on each patient, as everyone reacts differently, however most patients resume normal activities straight away, subject to aftercare recommendations such as avoiding exercise or lying down immediately after, but this will all be explained in your consultation before treatment.

3.  Can I Have Treatment on the Same Day as my Consultation?

Yes, you can! As long as yourself and the practitioner and both happy to proceed following a consultation, your Botox treatment can be done on the same day.

4. Are There Any Risks or Side Effects?

Although rare, all injectable treatments come with some risks and potential side effects, which is why it is extremely important to have your Botox administered by a qualified and highly skilled medical practitioner.  All potential risks and possible side effects will be fully explained before treatment.

5.  How Much is It?

Prices start from £370 for women and £400 for men, but your exact price will depend on how many areas you have treated, which will be discussed during your consultation.

At Light Touch Clinic our dermal fillers contain pure hyaluronic acid and can be used to replace loss of volume in certain areas such as the cheeks, lips, marionette lines, lipstick lines, and tear troughs.  Hyaluronic Acid is naturally produced by the body, which means that filler is eventually metabolised by our system.  As we all know, the more we age, the more we lose the ability to produce collagen and the more volume the skin loses.  Dermal fillers can help restore that fresh youthful appearance.

Dermal filler can also be used to contour the face when carefully administered in areas such as the jawline, which can make a fantastic enhancement to the shape of the lower face.

It is extremely important that all injectable treatments, particularly dermal fillers, are only administered by a medical professional who is qualified and who has a strong knowledge of the anatomy of the face.  Our practitioners have a vast amount of experience in the field of injectable treatments, and we are proud to say they have a reputation as being some of the best in the industry!

1. What is the Downtime?

There is a little downtime with dermal filler, but each patient varies in terms of how they react.  Some patients experience some mild bruising and swelling afterwards, but this is minimised due to the fact that our practitioners are so highly experienced at what they do and how they inject.

2.  What is the Aftercare?

There are specific aftercare rules to follow which will all be thoroughly explained to you before treatment.

3.  How Much are Dermal Fillers?

Prices are from £495, but your exact price quote will be given during your consultation once your skin has been assessed and the practitioner is able to recommend exactly how much filler is required to give you the desired results.

4. Are There any Risks or Side Effects?

As with all injectable treatments, dermal fillers can come with potential risks and side effects.  Making sure that you are only treated by highly skilled and qualified medical professionals like at Light Touch Clinic helps to minimise the risks of these.  Being fully informed on the risks and side effects, as well as tips on how to minimise these with good aftercare, are all of the utmost importance to us for our patients and also help to reduce the risks and side effects.  You will be able to discuss the treatment at length during your consultation and have any questions answered in detail.
