Dr Natalie Blakely, Medical Director of the Light Touch Clinic
As we age, our skin begins to lose elasticity and definition. This can cause the appearance of premature aging in the face, especially around the cheek and eye areas, where skin droops and can look hollow.
However, using Dermal Filler injections in eight problem areas of the face offers a solution to this loss of facial volume.
Known as the 8 Point Facelift, this treatment is a fantastic alternative to surgery and is growing in popularity amongst our own patients and across the UK.
Designed to lift and rejuvenate eight key areas of the face, the 8 Point Facelift, also known as the Liquid Facelift, uses a combination of dermal fillers and Botox injections to target soft tissue areas, wrinkles and fine lines.
During the treatment, our highly trainer practitioners target eight specific zones of the face to firm up this sagging skin:
Here at the Light Touch Clinic we believe in tailoring every 8 Point Facelift to accommodate each patient’s unique needs, ensuring a natural and youthful appearance. This effective, yet subtle, rejuvenation technique avoids the artificial ‘puffed-up’ look that is often associated with surgical facelifts.
Depending on the individual, the treatment takes between 30-60 minutes with minimal downtime, allowing many patients to go straight back to their daily routine*.
We use Restylane® and Juvaderm® Dermal Filler injections for the treatment as they are both made-up from a naturally occurring substance found in the body called hyaluronic acid. This means the body quickly accepts the procedure without complication*.
Due to this, it is common for the treated area to be sensitive for just up to 48 hours, with most patients feeling fully recovered after two to three days*. Applying ice to tender areas can help speed up this recovery time*.
As hyaluronic acid is responsible for lubricating joints and skin, it is also naturally broken down over time, meaning results of the facelift are not permanent. Many patients only require a single treatment*, with results lasting between nine and twelve months*.

At the Light Touch clinic we believe in replacing lost volume, not adding volume that wasn’t there in the first place. You will the leave the clinic looking refreshed and rejuvenated, not artificially puffed-up like some celebrities!
We use Restylane® and Juvaderm® – two of the leading dermal fillers on the market. Both are FDA-approved and temporary – this means your body should break them down over 6-12 months, so in the unlikely event you are not satisfied with the results they are not permanent. These dermal fillers are well tolerated by most people because they are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance in our body responsible for lubricating the skin and joints.
Your tailored 8 Point Facelift treatment will only be administered by one of our practitioners using the latest minimally invasive techniques.
What does the treatment involve?
Small quantities of filler are injected into the areas where you have wrinkles, furrows or loss of volume. Our practitioners often use a micro-cannula to administer the dermal filler. By using a cannula our patients benefit from less pain, less bruising, less swelling, less risk of complications and a smooth, natural-looking result.
What will my skin look like afterwards?
The effects of an eight point lift are immediate but you may experience a small amount of swelling and/or bruising which may take a few days to subside.
Are dermal fillers safe?
As long as they are administered by a trained medical practitioner who is experienced in the anatomy of the face, dermal fillers should be safe. The hyaluronic acid gel is completely natural and over time is broken down and assimilated back into the body causing no harm to you.
What are the risks and complications?
All non-invasive procedures carry a small amount of risk which is why they are only administered after a face to face consultation with one of our practitioners during which a full assessment will be carried out and a full list of cautions and contraindications discussed.
Are dermal filler injections my only option?
No, there are several other treatments that may be more suitable for your skin concern including Sculptra or INTRAcel. Before you undergo any injectable treatment you will be invited for a consultation with one of our practitioners who will analyse your skin and help you decide which treatment option is most suitable.
At the Light Touch Clinic, our injectable treatments are only performed by medical practitioners. We have two practitioners who carry out dermal filler and 8 Point Facelift treatments: Dr Natalie Blakely and Janine Scott. Before your treatment you will be invited to a consultation with one of our practitioners who will determine the best way to achieve your desired result.
