Neostrata Skincare range

Neostrata is a clinically proven, dermatologically developed skin care range only available on prescription. The range has been designed to improve the visible signs of aging and treat dermatological conditions including acne, dry skin and hyperpigmentation.

Neostrata uses advanced hydroxyacid technology, the latest science in skin treatment. Hydroxyacid technology includes a group of products called Alpha and Poly hydroxy acids – AHAs and PHAs. These products are becoming the new frontier in anti-ageing cosmecueticals.

The AHAs work by affecting skin turnover. The PHAs are more moisturising than the AHAs and can therefore be used on sensitive skin. They help strengthen the skin barrier.

We renew our skin approximately every 6 weeks, dead skin cells lie on the surface for about 12 days before sloughing off. These dry skin cells, can leave our skin looking dehydrated and uneven. The AHAs work by breaking the bonds between skin cells, allowing them to shed more quickly, pores are less likely to become clogged due to increased cell turnover, leaving the skin looking smoother and clearer. The AHAs have been proven to increase the thickness of the skin, decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Glycolic Facial Peel system

The Neostrata Glycolic acid peel is gentle but strong enough to deliver a real difference.

The advantages of the Glycolic acid peels are:

  • Freshens the skin
  • Removes some sun patches and rough scaly patches
  • Reduces freckles and irregular pigmentation
  • Decreases fine wrinkles
  • Minimal downtime
  • Homecare products work better
  • For best results, a course of 6 treatments, one month apart should be done, using the Neostrata skin care products at home
